India's External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, is scheduled to visit Russia from December 25 to 29, continuing the ongoing high-level exchanges between the two countries. During this visit, Jaishankar is expected to meet Deputy Prime Minister and Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov to discuss matters related to economic engagement. He will also hold discussions with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, covering a range of bilateral, multilateral, and international issues.
The visit will emphasize the robust people-to-people and cultural ties between India and Russia, with Jaishankar participating in engagements in both Moscow and St. Petersburg. The India-Russia partnership, characterized by the spirit of the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership, has remained stable and resilient over time. This visit aims to further strengthen the multifaceted cooperation between the two nations.
