Michael Federle is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the renowned American business magazine company, Forbes. He is the CEO of the company, for the past 5 years now. He took charge of the company in October 2017.
Under Michael's tenure, Forbes used the wide licensing strategy and created about 40 local editions in 70 countries, and Forbes brand extensions in education, financial services, etc
Before serving as the CEO of the company, he served as the President and Chief Operating Officer(COO) of Forbes from 2011 to 2016.
Michael has an experience of over 25 years in the media industry. He has held top positions as Publisher of Fortune magazine, Group Publisher of the Time Inc. Business & Finance Network, and Group Publisher of the Bonnier Mountain Group in Boulder, Colorado.
Before he joined Forbes in 2011, he was a co-founder, president, and COO of Techonomy Media, a multimedia company based in New York, in which Forbes acquired an equity interest in July 2011.

Michael began his career in 1983 and held sales and marketing management roles in magazine publishing at Time Inc. and Ziff Davis.
From 1999 to 2005, he took the charge of worldwide Publisher for International and domestic editions, conferences, and all franchise development for Fortune magazine.
In 2006, he worked as a group publisher at Time Inc. Business and Finance Network. Later in 2008, he joined Next Jump and worked there as Chief executive officer of B2B networks.
After working for nearly a year at Next Jump, Michael joined Bonnier Corporation and worked there as a group publisher.

Michael Federle lives in Jersey City, New Jersey, US and attended Tulane University until 1979, and graduated from Colby College in 1981.
