Giovanni Ferrero is the executive chairman of the Ferrero Group, an Italian multinational company which is the second largest manufacturer of branded Chocolate and Confectionery products. Ferrero Group was founded by Giovanni’s grandfather Pietro Ferrero in the year 1946. As of March 2023, Giovanni Ferrero has $ 35 billion net worth according to Forbes.
Giovanni started his career by working in his family’s company as a joint CEO of Ferrero with his brother Pietro Ferrero Jr. He worked hard for the growth and the development of the company as a joint CEO. When Giovanni’s brother died in the year 2011, he got the responsibilities of sole CEO while his father Michele Ferrero remained at the position of executive chairman of the company.
In the year 2015, Giovanni Ferrero took over the position of executive chairman after the death of his father. He put his efforts in maintaing his family company at top place while handling both the responsibilities of the CEO and executive chairman of the Ferrero. In the Year 2017, he stepped down from the position of CEO and Lapo Civiletti took over as the CEO of Ferrero group. In the Year 2018 Ferrero acquired the Nestle’s whole US confections business. He was named as 28th richest man in the world whereas richest person in Italy for the year 2022.
Giovanni Ferrero was born on 21st of September, 1964 in Farigliano, Italy. He completed his studies at European Schools in Brussels, Belgium. After completing his schooling Ferrero went to Lebanon Valley College in the United States for studying marketing. Giovanni got married to Paola Rossi and they have 2 sons.
