Dietrich Mateschitz was the Co-founder of Red Bull GmbH a brand of energy drinks. Mateschitz co-founded the energy drinks brand with Chaleo Yoovidhya in the year 1987. Mateschitz died in the year 2022. As of April 2022, Dietrich Mateschitz had $ 27.4 Billion net worth, according to Forbes.
Dietrich started his career working under Unilever in marketing detergents and after some time, he went to Blendax a Germen cosmetics company where he did marketing of Blendax toothpaste. While working in Blendax he met Chaleo Yoovidhya who had founded Krating Daeng an energy drink and partnered with him in founding Red Bull GmbH in 1984. In the year 1987, he launched the brand in Austria.
After launching the brand, Dietrich worked hard for developing the Red Bull drink into a world market leader among the energy drinks and he also revealed that he worked for the formula for 3 years before the modified drink was launched in the year 1987 under new name Red Bull. Mateschitz was a great businessman who positioned Red Bull as an energy drink segment leader with great sale and demand.
After the success of Red Bull, Mateschitz expanded his business in different fields as he owned Seitenblicke, Austria’s top society magazine, while in the year 2007, he founded a Media House in Austria for digital entertainment.

Dietrich Mateschitz was born on 20th May, 1944 in Sankt Marein im Mürztal, Styria, Austria. After Completing his Schooling, Mateschitz went to Hochschule für Welthandel (now known as Vienna University of Economics and Business) and earned a degree in marketing. Mateschitz had a son named as Mark Mateschitz from his girlfriend. Dietrich Mateschitz died on 22nd October 2022 due to suffering from Pancreatic cancer.
