Chris Kempczinski: Know the President and CEO of popular fast food giant McDonald's

Chris has experience of over 25 years of working in premier global consumer companies. He started his career in brand management at Procter & Gamble and worked for four years in its soap sector division. Later, he became a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BSG), focusing on consumer products and pharmaceuticals. In the year 2000, he joined PepsiCo in its corporate strategy & development group, and in 2006, became the Vice President, Marketing, Non-Carbonated Beverages, Pepsi-Cola North America Beverages.

Christopher John Kempczinski is the the President and Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of famous multinational fast food chain McDonald's Corporation.

Chris Kempczinski joined McDonald’s in 2015 as Executive Vice President, Strategy, Business Development, and Innovation. At McDonald's, he worked closely with business leaders and franchisees to identify innovative new ideas and best practices to accelerate system growth.

In November 2017, Chris became the President of McDonald's USA. In 2019 he succeeded Steve Easterbrook as President and Chief Executive Officer.

As President and CEO of McDonald's, Chirs Kempczinski is responsible for driving McDonald’s growth strategy.

Christopher Kempczinski, born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, is the son of Richard Kempczinski and Ann Marie Kempczinski. His Father was a professor at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and his mother was a primary school teacher at Terrace Park Elementary in Cincinnati, Ohio. He did his schooling at Indian Hill High School in suburban Cincinnati and has graduated from Duke University. He also completed his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1997. At present, he lives in Chicago, IL, with his wife and two kids.
