After working there, he joined his father’s business Rock Island Oil & Refining Company and started to work hard.

Charles G. Koch is the CEO and the Chairman of Koch Industries, an American privately held multinational conglomerate corporation. Koch Industry was founded by Fred C. Koch, father of Charles in the year 1940. Koch Industries is the second-largest privately held company in the United States after Cargill. As of January 2023, Charles G. Koch has $ 59.6 Billion net worth, according to Forbes. 

Charles started his career by joining Arthur D. Little Inc. After working there, he joined his father’s business Rock Island Oil & Refining Company and started to work hard. With his efforts, in the year 1967, Charles took over the position of president of the company which was, at that time, a medium sized oil firm and in the honor of his father, he renamed the company as Koch Industries. Koch’s brothers Frederick and Bill had inherited stock in the Firm and in June 1983 Charles and his younger brother David became the majority owners in the company.

After that, Charles Being the Chairperson and the CEO of the company worked hard and put his efforts for the growth of the company and in the year 2006 it generated $ 90 billion in revenue, a growth of 2000 times over which represents an annual compounded return of 18%. In Bloomberg Billionaires Index for January 2023, Charles was named as the 14th richest person in the world while the Time Magazine has included Charles and David Koch among most influential people of the year 2011.

Charles G. Koch was born on 1st of November, 1935 in Wichita, Kansas. After completing his school, Koch went to Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned degree of Bachelor of Science in General Engineering. After that Koch earned Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering and earned 2nd Master in Science in Chemical Engineering. Charles got married to Liz and they have two children Chase Koch and Elizabeth Koch.
