Production house Yash Raj Films announced on Thursday that a third installment in the action thriller "Mardaani" franchise, fronted by Rani Mukerji, is in the works.
The banner made the announcement on the 10th release anniversary of the first "Mardaani", which was directed by the late Pradeep Sarkar.
The makers have now released a new video in which they announced that Rani will return as the no-nonsense cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in the next installment, which is "coming soon".
