“New year…New look!!! 2025 ready for you!! A magical year is coming…I hope you feel it too!! Embrace the change, celebrate the new, it’s all happening!!! ‘The optimistic me with a different look yet the same outlook’I love you guys!!!” Sushmita wrote as the caption.
 

On December 19, Sushmita showered birthday love upon her father, Shubeer Sen. She went along with a heartfelt note that came with a beautiful picture of them together stating that he is the "nicest human being".

On the work front, Sushmita last saw action in the hit show 'Aarya 3'. Here, Sushmita played the role of an aggressive lady, who protects her family and does whatever is necessary in order to be able to secure her family in that crime-infested world.

The first international recognition it received was after its debut season received nominations for the "Best Drama Series" at the International Emmy Awards.

Sushmita was crowned Miss Universe 1994,becoming the first Indian woman to win the title. She made her acting debut playing a fictionalised version of herself in the thriller Dastak in 1996.

She was later found in movies like "Biwi No. 1", "Sirf Tum", "Filhaal…", "Aankhen", "Main Hoon Na", "Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?". After some gap, she appeared in the drama series Aarya and played the role of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant in the miniseries "Taali".
