The comedy king of India, Kapil Sharma has been happily married to the love of his life Ginni Chatrath and is the proud father of two adorable kids. There have been very less chances when Kapil publicly talked about his love life. But now when he got a chance to talk about his love story is not letting this chance go.
Comedy King, Kapil Sharma is coming up with a stand-up comedy special with the online streaming platform Netflix. Dropping the promo of this special titled, ‘I Am Not Done Yet’, Kapil shared a funny story behind his proposal. He revealed that he was heavily drunk when he proposed to his wife Ginni for marriage.
Kapil tells the audience, "One day, I had drunk Officer's Choice (a whisky brand) when she called me. High thoughts! As soon as I picked up, I asked, 'Do you love me?' She was shocked and said, 'What! Ye aadmi me himmat kaise aa gayi (How did this man get so much courage)?' I am thankful I didn't drink toddy that day. Otherwise my question would have been, 'Ginni tere papa ko driver chahiye (Ginni, does your father need a driver)?'"
Ginni was an actor who appeared in a few reality shows before her marriage to Kapil. In fact, the two of them used to do theatre together.
Kapil's Netflix special stand-up act I am will begin streaming on the OTT platform from January 28. Recently, producer Mahaveer Jain announced a biopic on his life, titled Funkaar.
