Director Gowtam Tinnanuri’s latest action-packed entertainer, starring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead, has officially been titled Kingdom, as announced by the film’s creators on Wednesday.
The announcement was accompanied by a teaser, unveiled in three languages, which also confirmed the film’s theatrical release date—May 30, 2025.
Sharing the teaser link on his social media handles, Vijay Deverakonda wrote, “This is ‘KINGDOM.’ Questions. Mistakes. Bloodshed. Destiny. May 30, 2025. In theaters WW. #Kingdom #VD12.”
Previously referred to as VD12, the film comes with the intriguing tagline, "From the shadows of betrayal, shall rise a king." The teaser suggests an intense, high-stakes narrative centered around the struggles of a particular community. Vijay Deverakonda showcases a fierce and rugged look, complete with a six-pack physique, cropped hair, and a beard. A glimpse of him in a prison setting adds to the intrigue, with the teaser keeping plot details under wraps while successfully building anticipation among fans and cinephiles.
Penned and helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Kingdom boasts a powerful musical score by Anirudh Ravichander and sharp editing by Navin Nooli. The project is backed by producers Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya under the Sithara Entertainments and Fortune 4 Cinemas banners, with Srikara Studios presenting the film.
Renowned costume designer Neeraja Kona is responsible for styling the cast, while the film’s songs will feature choreography by Vijay Binni. The action-packed thriller will also feature breathtaking stunts, with three acclaimed stunt coordinators—Yannick Ben, Chethan D’Souza, and Real Satish—bringing the high-octane sequences to life.
