In the most recent episode of the streaming talk show 'Koffee With Karan', Bollywood sensation Vicky Kaushal, riding high on the acclaim for his latest film 'Sam Bahadur', made a candid appearance alongside actress Kiara Advani. Amidst the lively conversation, Vicky unveiled a heartwarming detail about his marriage proposal to actress Katrina Kaif, just a day prior to their wedding.
As host Karan Johar playfully prodded Vicky to share this romantic gesture, the actor blushed while recounting how their jam-packed schedules hindered any grand plans for a proposal.
Vicky revealed that seizing the moment, he knelt down in a heartfelt proposal the night preceding their wedding, in their hotel, before the arrival of their friends and families.
"It was a spontaneous decision. I was cautioned by everyone that if I didn't propose, it would be a topic I'd hear about forever. So, just a day before the wedding, amidst dinner and before our loved ones arrived, I went for it," he shared with a smile.
Additionally, the 'Uri' star disclosed the timing constraints caused by the pandemic, noting that he met Katrina's siblings and mother merely a week before the wedding, as they were unable to meet earlier due to travel restrictions.
Their union culminated in an intimate yet opulent ceremony held at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan on December 9, 2021, marking the beginning of their shared journey.
