Veteran Marathi actor Atul Parchure died from cancer at 57. He died yesterday, after a hectic battle with cancer.

Atul was a renowned Marathi actor who made appearances in several Hindi television serials and films, not to forget his stint on Kapil Sharma's comedy show.

He had previously come on a chat show and announced that he had cancer. The doctors said they found a 5-cm tumor in his liver.
What he told an interviewer is: "I was told I have a tumor about 5 centimeters long in my liver and that it is cancerous."
But Atul Parachure's treatment seems to have dragged him down by misdiagnosis.

He said: "The first procedure which was performed after the test result had gone bad that played on my pancreas and caused a whole array of complications. The wrong treatment course made me worse. I was not able to stand properly and only could pronounce some words partially. That's when my doctor told me to wait for nearly a month and half.".

"They cautioned that surgery might lead to chronic jaundice or even severe liver damage, which could ultimately put my survival at stake. Finally, I did seek a second opinion, changed doctors, and also got the right medication and chemotherapy, he said.

Atul Parchure was an actor who was associated with both cinema and television, mainly for his comic acts and performances.

He had been in several projects, mainly notable works such as "Vasu Chi Sasu", "Priyatama", and Tarun "Turk Mhatare Arka".

His filmography contains movies like "Navra Mazha Navsacha", "Salaam-E-Ishq", "Partner", "All the Best: Fun Begins", "Khatta Meetha", and "Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap" among others.
He was a versatile actor, and this fame had him quite popular in Marathi entertainment industry.
