Talking about the same, Tanay shared with us, "I have been on set my whole life working with great people like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and many others since I was four years old. The experience I have gained in this journey has been priceless. I have never considered myself as anything other than an actor, and I am thankful that I am doing what I love."
He went on to say: "For 'Cadets', I felt it was a great journey. In my view, I learned much from all my costars- specially Gautam, who gave more tips than the directors. Every member of a film set, including the production team, the director and the cast, plays an important part in it.
'Cadets' is a coming-of-age story set in the background of events leading up to the Kargil War. The story follows Manoj, Albert, Randhir, and Neeraj as they move from sheltered lives into the rigorous world of the National Defence Academy, their comradeship, grueling training, and getting militarized through a gamut of trials.
The other series cast includes Anand Tiwari, Tushar Saini, Gautam Gujjar, and Chayan Chopra. The series is helmed by Vishwajoy Mukherjee, while it is produced by Anand Tiwari himself.
It is currently streaming on JioCinema Premium.
Meanwhile, Tanay made his screen debut with the 2006 action thriller 'Don: The Chase Begins Again', which was directed by Farhan Akhtar. The movie starred Shah Rukh as the titular anti-hero and Priyanka Chopra as Roma, while Arjun Rampal, Isha Koppikar, Boman Irani, Pavan Malhotra, and Om Puri are there in pivotal roles.
He essayed the character of Rajan Damodaran in the 2007 psychological film 'Taare Zameen Par', produced and directed by Aamir Khan. It stars Aamir in the lead, with Darsheel Safary, Vipin Sharma, and Tisca Chopra in pivotal roles.
Tanay also featured in 'Slumdog Millionaire', 'My Name is Khan', and 'Lilly the Witch: The Journey to Mandolan'.
