'Stree 2' Maintains Blockbuster Status, Surpasses Rs 100 Crore at the Box Office

Producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films revealed on Instagram that the film has raked in Rs 118 crore gross in two days, as the net collection in India amounts to Rs 100.1 crore. "Stree 2," starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic box office, according to the makers' announcement on Saturday. The sequel to the 2018 hit "Stree" hit theaters on August 15, alongside Independence Day, and grossed Rs 76.5 crore on the opening day, directed by Amar Kaushik.

This time, the new ghostly antagonist will be Sarkata, a headless ghost. The sequel will also feature Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. The "Stree" franchise falls under Vijan's horror comedy universe, which also houses "Bhediya" and "Munjya."
