Amidst the banter, Sidharth playfully ribbed Karan about the director's strict demeanor during the creation of 'Student of the Year,' a pivotal launching pad for Sidharth, Varun, and Alia Bhatt.
Their repartee not only amused the audience but also put Karan Johar, known for his provocative conversations, in an unusual spot, leaving him with scarce opportunities to chime in.

Recalling the incident, Varun quipped, "We had strict rations imposed on us. Karan monitored our intake meticulously."
Sidharth chimed in jest, "Our food budget was the first to go. I almost forgot the taste of water."
Varun chuckled, "Yeah, you were practically dehydrated," prompting both actors to reminisce about this incident happening twice.
Sidharth wittily added, "It felt like child labor."
