The angry and bold Bollywood superstar, Shatrughan Sinha waz amongst the leading men of the industry and he has quite a reputation as a charming ladies' man. Back in the early 1970s, a lot of ripple stormed in the industry around the name of the actor after his relationship with Reena Roy caught public eyes. Even when Shatrughan Sinha tied the knot with Poonam Sinha, the closeness between Reena and Shatrughan kept making the news.
Seeing all the rumors and headlines around the 7-year-old relationship between Shatrughan and Reena, the actor’s wife Poonam Sinha even stepped aside and cleared the field for Reena. According to a report by India times, Poonam had once said to a magazine, "The truth is that I did step aside and gave Reena a clear field, but Shatru didn't want to marry a girl whose fidelity was in doubt. I was aware that they revived their old romance after our marriage,"
This relationship of Shahtrughan and Reena created differences between Poonam and the actor but the couple decided to stick to each other for the sake of their kids (Sonakshi Sinha, Luv Sinha, and Kush Sinha).

After getting heartbroken by the actor, Reena decided to settle down with cricketer Mohsin Khan. Reena left the industry at the peak of her career and went with him to England. But the couple failed to save their marriage and decided to call it off after the birth of their daughter named Jannat. However, the divorce of the actress made her shift back to India but she couldn’t get custody of her daughter.
To get custody of her daughter, Reena asked Shatrughan to help her with the court proceedings and without any due the actor helped her to get her daughter back. After getting custody of Jannat, Reena changed her name to Sanam.
"At one point, I called my mom from London and asked her, 'What is the meaning of marriage?' She just said, 'Nibha le. Shaadi means nibhana'. I listened to her otherwise I think I would have come back way earlier," Reena Roy told a tabloid, as per a report in bridalbox.
