A star of such classic roles in movies like Basic Instinct, Total Recall, Sliver, and Casino (directed by Martin Scorsese), Stone's most recent appearance was in Nobody 2, with Bob Odenkirk.

HBO officially began production this week on season three after a near-three-year hiatus, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Apart from Sharon Stone, some new additions to the cast of Euphoria's season three have officially been announced as well, among which are retired NFL player-turned-actor Marshawn Lynch (Love Hurts), Grammy award winner Rosalía, Kadeem Hardison (The Chi, A Different World), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost, Suicide Squad), Toby Wallace (FX's Pistol), Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hebert, Darrell Britt-Gibson, and Anna Van Patten. While Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Wallace will have recurring roles, the others will be seen in "notable" guest spots, HBO tells the outlet.

Even with the praise for Euphoria's second season, its third season had to overcome several challenges as a result of the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

When production goes back in January, there are some recognizable faces missing, foremost among them Angus Cloud, who died tragically in July 2023, and Storm Reid, who recently announced that she is leaving the show.

Since its premiere in 2019, Euphoria has been a culture-defining force, with Zendaya's acting as Rue, an addicting teenager, gaining widespread acclaim.

Season three will feature a time jump that will take the show's younger characters past high school. While no official release date has been announced, The Hollywood Reporter predicts the new season to air in 2026.
