Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has revealed the key to staying youthful at heart and in life, emphasizing the importance of purity and avoiding cynicism towards people and endeavors. The actor's recent action-packed pan-India film, 'Jawan,' has captivated global audiences with its compelling plot, well-choreographed action sequences, vibrant dialogues, and stellar performances.
In 'Jawan,' Shah Rukh portrays dual roles as Vikram and Azad Rathore, sharing the screen with Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone (in a special appearance), Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra.
Discussing the mantra for remaining 'Jawan' at heart, Shah Rukh stated, "The only way to be young at heart is to be pure at heart. The only way to do that is not to have cynicism towards people or things that you’re doing. Have the nicest and highest regards for people that surround you, love your family and friends and just be kind-hearted. I think it takes very little to remain young at heart."
Regarding the genre of 'Jawan,' directed by Atlee, SRK described it as dynamic, larger-than-life, and a rollercoaster ride that encompasses various emotions. He emphasized that the film is a comprehensive experience, making the audience think, fall in love, get angry, and experience laughter and tears.
Reflecting on the diverse looks he adopts in the film, Shah Rukh explained, "Adding so many different variations was a unique addition which we thought would create intrigue. The narrative warranted for us to experiment with looks, also a first for me, and an exciting part of the film."
Speaking about his collaboration with Atlee, SRK highlighted that it was not just about executing a script but a shared exploration of characters, narratives, and storytelling. He commended Atlee's directorial style, describing him as "massy, bold, larger than life."
'Jawan,' presented by Red Chillies Entertainment and produced by Gauri Khan, with Gaurav Verma as the co-producer, had a theatrical release on September 7, 2023. The film, reportedly grossing over Rs 1160 crore worldwide, is set to premiere on Zee Cinema on January 28.
