Actress Sara Ali Khan finds it unbelievable to return to the Big Apple, a city she nostalgically calls the place that once accommodated “96 kilos” of her.
Sara shared some snapshots from New York on her Instagram stories.
Sporting a chic look in athleisure, the actress is seen enjoying a coffee in a white crop top, vibrant red shorts, and sneakers.
“Surreal to be back to the city that housed 96 kgs of me,” Sara wrote as the caption.
The actress was reflecting on her university days at Columbia University in New York, where she experienced significant weight gain.
Sara, the daughter of Bollywood icons Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, has always been open about her battles with Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) and obesity.
She candidly discussed these issues on the sixth season of ‘Koffee With Karan’.
Before making her film debut with the 2018 movie ‘Kedarnath’ opposite the late Sushant Singh Rajput, Sara adopted a regimen of cardio, pilates, and yoga, paired with a straightforward diet, to lose the extra weight.
The 28-year-old granddaughter of the late cricket legend Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore later featured in ‘Simmba’ with Ranveer Singh.
Named in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list in 2019, Sara subsequently appeared in films like ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Atrangi Re’, ‘Gaslight’, ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, ‘Murder Mubarak’, and ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’.
Sara’s upcoming projects include ‘Metro… In Dino’ directed by Anurag Basu and ‘Sky Force’, an action thriller by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani.
Reportedly, the film features Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Nimrat Kaur, Sharad Kelkar, and Suniel Shetty and narrates the story of India’s retaliatory strike on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war.
