Director Rohit Shetty shared behind-the-scenes pictures and videos from the shoot of "Singham Again", starring Ajay Devgn. Filming for the movie has been completed. Meanwhile, today also marks 13 years since the birth of the "Singham" franchise as Shetty introduced it in 2011 with the original and followed it up with "Singham Returns" in 2014.
Shetty took to social media and shared an emotional video where he featured several nostalgic clips of his journey over the years with Devgn. He recalled their lasting association of over three decades, starting from the 90s when Shetty used to work under Devgn. The professional journey has evolved manifold to culminate into their 13th film together, "Singham Again", that is slated to release this Diwali.
This time, Devgn will be sharing screen space with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone. The film, originally slated for an August 15, Independence Day release, is now shifted for a Diwali release to cash in on the festive season.
Shetty's career started as an assistant director on Devgn's first film "Phool Aur Kaante" when he was barely 17 years old. Their association has only got better with every subsequent film like "Suhaag," "Haqeeqat," "Zulmi," "Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha," and "Hindustan Ki Kasam." Shetty made his directorial debut in 2003 with "Zameen," featuring Devgn alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasa Basu in main roles.
Although the roles that Devgn has taken on for Shetty have all been different, he has been markedly consistent in comedy and action franchises like "Golmaal" and "Singham," respectively, to cement the combination as a successful one in the Bollywood film industry.
