Renowned filmmaker Rohit Shetty is set to make his debut in the OTT space with the show "Indian Police Force." The series, headlined by Siddharth Malhotra and featuring Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi, is described as a homage to the relentless commitment of Indian police officers. Shetty emphasized that despite being on the OTT platform, he did not compromise on the scale or budget, maintaining the grandeur and action characteristic of his films.
At a press conference for "Indian Police Force," Shetty expressed gratitude to Aparna Purohit of Prime Video for sharing his vision and allowing him to maintain his signature style on the digital platform. He acknowledged the significant effort put in by the writers and creative team, describing them as the main heroes behind the show.
Thrilled to explore the OTT medium, Shetty emphasized that he doesn't consider any medium as big or small, emphasizing the importance of hard work and respect for every platform. Vivek Oberoi, who plays the role of policeman Vikram Bakshi in the series, shared his excitement about being part of Shetty's cop universe and credited the director for transforming the portrayal of police officers in cinema.
"Indian Police Force" also features actors Shweta Tiwari, Nikitin Dheer, Rituraj Singh, and Lalit Parimoo in pivotal roles. The series is scheduled to release on January 19 on Prime Video.
