Robert Pattinson Set to Star in A24's True Crime Drama 'Primetime'

Though the plan details are kept tight, it is said that this project is based on the 2000s reality show To Catch a Predator, hosted by Chris Hansen. The show is aimed at trapping sexual predators red-handed by setting up a hidden camera and the orchestration of sting operations to trap criminals who arrive with the pretension of having sexual intercourse with a minor. The suspects get arrested when they arrive at the spot.

After leading the HBO documentary series Ren Faire, director Lance Oppenheim teams up with actor Robert Pattinson for A24 on Primetime.

Oppenheim has worked on two documentary films and has contributed to Some Kind of Heaven and Spermworld. Some Kind of Heaven focuses on the world's largest retirement community. On the other hand, Spermworld explores the sperm donors and recipients' stories and how they are related to one another.

Apart from supporting Primetime, Pattinson will next be seen in Bong Joon Ho's Mickey 17. He will star and produce the follow-up of The Batman under his banner Icki Eneo Arlo, along with Brighton McCloskey, Range's Brian Kavanaugh Jones and Fred Berger, Square Peg's Lars Knudsen, Ari Aster, and Tyler Campellone.
