Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt took a trip down memory lane on the weekend episode of 'Indian Idol Season 14', titled 'Celebrating Sanjay Dutt'. The actor shared anecdotes from his career and memories of his late mother, legendary actress Nargis.
Contestant Ananya Pal from Kolkata, known for her sweet voice, captivated everyone with her renditions of songs from iconic movies like 'Saajan', 'Jeeva', and 'Zameen Aasmaan'. Sanjay, who played an anonymous poet in 'Saajan', praised Ananya in a poetic style, saying, “Dil karta hai ki sunta hi jau, aisi pyaari aapki aawaz hai.”
Following her performance, judge Shreya Ghoshal asked Sanjay to elaborate on his relationship with his late father, Sunil Dutt. Sanjay shared a heartfelt reflection, expressing regret about not spending enough time with his mother, who had urged him to cherish their moments together. He revealed that his mother used to tell him to spend time with her, as she didn't know when she would leave, and he now realizes the importance of those moments.
The episode provided an emotional and nostalgic glimpse into Sanjay Dutt's life, both in the film industry and with his parents, making it a memorable experience for the audience.
