Ranvir Shorey Criticizes Airline Over 10-Hour Delay, Alleging the Carrier Didn't Have a Pilot

In response to Shorey's claims, an IndiGo spokesperson stated that the airline is actively addressing the concerns raised.

Actor Ranvir Shorey has publicly criticized a commercial airline, alleging a 10-hour delay and accusing the staff of providing false information about weather-related issues. Shorey, renowned for his roles in films like "Khosla Ka Ghosla" and "A Death In The Gunj," claimed that the flight he and seven friends were scheduled to take lacked an assigned pilot.

In response to Shorey's claims, an IndiGo spokesperson stated that the airline is actively addressing the concerns raised. The actor, in a detailed social media post, expressed his intention to file a complaint against the airline for the "trauma" he and his companions experienced.

According to Shorey's account, their 2 PM flight was delayed by three hours due to fog, a fact they were only informed about upon reaching the airport. Despite their understanding of weather-related delays during this season, the actor highlighted that the flight's continuous delays became a cause for concern.

Shorey emphasized that the airline's website indicated the aircraft was already in Bengaluru, having flown from Kolkata without any reported fog issues. When questioned, the IndiGo staff allegedly dismissed this information as a website error, promising a take-off by 8 PM. However, Shorey claimed that after further investigation, the staff admitted to not having a pilot for the flight, leading to an additional 10-hour delay.
