Ram Charan Joins Forces with Sukumar, Director of 'Pushpa', for Upcoming Project 'RC17

For his 17th film, Ram Charan is teaming up with director Sukumar, renowned for his work in "Pushpa." Joining forces again are Mythri Movie Makers and composer Devi Sri Prasad, known for their collaboration on the 2018 blockbuster "Rangasthalam." Tentatively titled "RC17," details about the plot are under wraps for now. However, production is set to kick off later this year, with the film slated for release in the final quarter of 2025.

Ram Charan seems to be on a roll in the Indian film industry, with projects lining up one after the other. Following the recent unveiling of his 16th film, there's already buzz surrounding his 17th venture.

Meanwhile, the accolades keep pouring in for S.S. Rajamouli's "RRR," featuring Charan alongside NTR Jr., which has clinched both an Oscar and a Golden Globe.
 

Charan's upcoming release, "Game Changer," directed by S. Shankar, promises to be another highlight. Shankar, also working on the eagerly awaited "Indian 2" starring Kamal Hassan, adds to the anticipation surrounding Charan's cinematic ventures.

His 16th film, dubbed "RC16," is in the capable hands of producer Venkata Satish Kilaru for Vriddhi Cinemas, with backing from Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar via Sukumar Writings. Sharing the screen with Charan is the talented Janhvi Kapoor, while the music maestro A.R. Rahman is set to create magic with the soundtrack. Chandrabose, the wordsmith behind the award-winning "Naatu Naatu" from "RRR," will pen the lyrics. The crew includes renowned names like cinematographer R. Rathnavelu, editor Antony L. Ruben, and action choreographer Supreme Sunder, among others.

Sukumar's previous blockbuster, "Pushpa: The Rise — Part 1," starring Allu Arjun and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, garnered immense acclaim. The film, depicting the ascent of Pushpa Raj within a sandalwood smuggling network, swept box offices nationwide in 2021. Arjun's stellar performance earned him the Best Actor accolade at India's National Film Awards.

Now, with the sequel "Pushpa 2: The Rule" in the works, the franchise seems poised for even greater success. Arjun's confirmation of plans for a third installment only adds to the excitement, promising audiences more thrilling adventures in the world of Pushpa Raj.
