Rajinikanth Applauds Modi's Third Term as Prime Minister 'big achievement'

Rajinikanth, who addressed the press before heading to Delhi to attend the swearing-in ceremony, equated Modi with Jawaharlal Nehru and mentioned Modi's remarkable feat in the form of a third term. Further, he said that his participation in the ceremony would not merely be as a guest but along with the new Cabinet.

Superstar Rajinikanth congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for successfully securing a third term in the office and termed it as good for democracy. When he was asked to react after issuing a press release, the actor emphasized the necessity for a stiff opposition, which he said was a sign of a healthy democratic process.

Rajinikanth congratulated Modi from the airport. "Assuming office for the third consecutive term is Narendra Modi's big achievement, my hearty greetings to him. People have elected a robust opposition which is a healthy sign for democracy." the actor said.

Reacting to what combination he would wish for in the next five years, Rajinikanth said that he feels positively about the effective functioning of the approach.
