Prime Video Reveals New Series 'Love Storiyaan', Set for Premiere on February 14th

Conceptualized by Somen Mishra, this Amazon Original Series draws inspiration from the heartwarming stories showcased on the India Love Project, a social media initiative spearheaded by former journalists Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar, and Niloufer Venkatraman.

On Tuesday, streaming giant Prime Video unveiled "Love Storiyaan," a captivating six-part series that delves into the extraordinary love tales of six real-life couples.

Conceptualized by Somen Mishra, this Amazon Original Series draws inspiration from the heartwarming stories showcased on the India Love Project, a social media initiative spearheaded by former journalists Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar, and Niloufer Venkatraman.

Backed by filmmaker Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment, the series is scheduled to make its debut on Prime Video on Valentine's Day, February 14, as per a press release.

"Love Storiyaan" sheds light on the heartfelt narratives of six real couples from diverse corners of the country, portraying tales of love, hope, joy, and triumph over adversity.

The series is helmed by directors Akshay Indikar, Archana Phadke, Collin D'Cunha, Hardik Mehta, Shazia Iqbal, and Vivek Soni.

Johar, known for directing iconic films such as "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai," "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...," and "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani," expressed excitement about Dharmatic Entertainment's inaugural venture into presenting real-life stories to the audience.

"'Love Storiyaan' is more than just a retelling of real-life love sagas. It explores love in its myriad forms, painting a beautiful canvas of connections that transcend the ordinary," said Johar.

He added, "These are the tales of genuine individuals, hailing from diverse backgrounds, who encountered monumental obstacles in their quest for true love but exhibited resilience and perseverance by overcoming cultural, religious, gender, or even wartime barriers."

Aparna Purohit, head of Originals, India, and Southeast Asia at Prime Video, lauded the series as a testament to the platform's commitment to crafting narratives that mirror the rich diversity of the audience while striking a chord with their emotions.
