The Telugu megastar Prabhas is all set to play the role of Bhairava in the upcoming futuristic saga 'Kalki 2898 Ad'.
In a recent video segment aired during the IPL match between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians, the actor made a powerful appearance.
As Bhairava, he carried the air of confidence and that fine nuisance of a message that connects the ground of cricket with the skies of warfare.
This is a trend that begins with the Bollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan, whose role as Ashwatthama was first seen and announced in previous IPL telecasts.
The "Kalki 2898 Ad" debuted as a promotional piece at San Diego Comic-Con the previous year.
"Kalki 2898 Ad" is a multilingual film directed by Nag Ashwin and financially supported by Vyjayanthi Movies.
The future-set, mythology-inspired science fiction production is scheduled to hit theatres on June 27, 2024.
