'Squid Game' wins two prizes at US critics' awards
According to the HCA on Tuesday (Korean time), 'Squid Game' was named Best International Series and its lead Lee Jung-jae won Best Actor in a Streaming Series, Drama, at its annual awards for TV programmes, reports Yonhap, a news agency. For the Best International Series award, the Netflix original competed with the Korean-language epic series 'Pachinko', the Mexican comedy 'Acapulco', the French thriller 'Lupin', the Spanish crime action series 'Money Heist' and the American-Mexican crime drama 'Narcos: Mexico'.

The actor will now return behind the camera, with Al Pacino acting as producer, for 'Modigliani', a biographical drama about Italian artist and sculptor Amedeo Modigliani, who lived between 1884 and 1920. It is being viewed as an attempt by Depp to restart his life after having seen Hollywood steer clear of him and being left with only European projects, notably French filmmaker Maiwenn's upcoming film 'Jeanne du Barry', a historical romance drama about a royal's concubine, in which he plays the controversial King Louis XV, notes 'Variety'.

Michelle Yeoh, Stanley Tucci, Jason Alexander, Brian Cox and Jenny Slate are set to join the duo's next film 'The Electric State', which also stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, reports 'Deadline'. The Russos, who are the names behind blockbuster movies such as 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Avengers: Endgame', and are the second most commercially successful directors of all time after Steven Spielberg, will direct the movie, with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely adapting the script.

According to Deadline, in his first announcement, Tom Holland said: "I've taken a break from social media for my mental health because I find Instagram and Twitter to be overstimulating, to be overwhelming. I get caught up and I spiral when I read things about me online and ultimately, it's very detrimental to my mental state. So I decided to take a step back and delete the app."
SRK, family celebrate 'Har Ghar Tiranga', hoist Tricolour at Mannat
It is an initiative of the central government to get all Indians to be a part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' and encouraging people to hoist the national flag in their homes from August 13 to 15. SRK, dressed in blue pants and a white casual T-shirt, took to Instagram to share a video from his home, Mannat, in the Bandra area of Mumbai. The video shows SRK's youngest son AbRam hoisting the flag. Also present were SRK's elder son, Aryan, and wife Gauri.
'Shaun of the Dead' director Edgar Wright heaps praise on 'RRR'
The latest fan is Edgar Wright, the director known for his zombie-comedy film 'Shaun of the Dead', who recently saw the movie on the big screen and was left mightily impressed with its scale, grandeur and storytelling.
