Bhumi, Taapsee mourn demise of 'Shooter Dadi' Chandro Tomar due to Covid

Shooter Chandro Tomar, fondly known as Shooter Dadi, died after battling Covid on Friday. She was admitted to a hospital in Meerut earlier this week. Actress Bhumi Pednekar, who played Chandro in the 2019 film "Saand Ki Aankh", says Chandro Tomar's death comes as a "personal loss" to her.

Uncertainty looms large on reality TV amid lockdown

A number of factors make sustaining non-fiction shows under such circumstances extremely difficult, says JD Majethia, chairman of, Indian Film and Television Producers Council (IFTPC). "Non-fiction shows require huge sets and infrastructure. A lot of planning has to be done on a big level. Contestants come from different cities, and their accommodation and everything else is a huge responsibility. It is a costly affair," he tells IANS.
