Nawazuddin Siddiqui Takes on Paranormal Mystery as Detective in 'Adbhut' Trailer

The trailer of the upcoming Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shreya Dhanwanthary-starrer streaming movie Adbhut dropped on Saturday. It follows the story of a couple who visit some secluded villa.

Nawaz took to his Instagram on Saturday and shared the trailer with a caption: "Truth exists beyond belief – 'ADBHUT' Trailer! Releasing on 15th September only on #SonyMax."

According to the trailer, weird things start happening to the couple, with the house haunted by some supernatural entity. When it gets too much to take, Nawaz's character of a detective is called to find out the cause behind the supernatural occurrences. Soon, Shreya Dhanwanthary's character becomes possessed by the ghost residing inside the house as the paranormal activities reach a fever pitch. It is also revealed how Diana Penty's character has some mysterious links with all the paranormal activities that have happened earlier.

The trailer is out, where it shows Shreya getting possessed by the ghost as a truck comes from the back towards her, and she presumably goes on to take her life. Helmed by Sabbir Khan, with whom Nawaz earlier collaborated for Munna Michael, Adbhut is set for release on Sony Max on September 15.

Earlier, Nawaz was seen in the streaming movie Rautu Ka Raaz in which he essayed the role of a cop who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Meanwhile, the actor has a slew of projects in his pipeline, including a film based on Oil Kumar helmed by Anand Surapur. Oil Kumar, whose real name was Benakanahalli Alappa Shivakumar, was a ganglord who headed the Bangalore underworld in the 1980s. His activities ranged from racketeering to substantial control over the supply of oil in the city, labor unions, and distribution of film companies through his SK Pictures in Gandhinagar. Not to forget money laundering, monopolistic contract bidding, and large-scale manipulation of state bureaucracy and politics.
