However, Mukesh Khanna, who not only portrayed Shaktimaan but also produced the show, has expressed discontent over Singh's potential casting. Khanna, aged 65, emphasized the importance of casting an actor who embodies the essence of Shaktimaan's character, representing Indian values and possessing the demeanor of a teacher.
In response to the widespread speculation surrounding Singh's involvement, Khanna took to Instagram to voice his reservations, asserting that the portrayal of Shaktimaan requires more than just star power. He emphasized the need for an actor with a specific image and gravitas, hinting that Singh may not fit the bill despite his fame.
Khanna also criticized Singh's recent nude photoshoot, deeming it inappropriate for someone potentially portraying Shaktimaan. He stressed that the role demands a figure of authority, capable of commanding attention and respect.
Reports suggest that Sony Pictures India and Sajid Nadiadwala are involved in producing the Shaktimaan film, with Basil Joseph, known for his work on the superhero flick Minnal Murali, set to direct.
