Actress Mouni Roy, portraying the character Yasmin Ali in the upcoming web series 'Showtime,' has shared an intimate moment with Bollywood's renowned 'serial kisser' Emraan Hashmi.
Emraan, known for his iconic on-screen kissing scenes in movies like 'Murder,' 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne,' 'Aksar,' and 'Jannat,' among others, can now be seen locking lips with Mouni, who essays the role of Yasmin in 'Showtime.'
In a newly released clip, Yasmin voices her frustration, stating, "You guys are only concerned about numbers. No one cares about entertainment." She then questions Raghu, portrayed by Emraan, about the whereabouts of Agent Haseena, emphasizing her role akin to 'Kill Bill.'
Raghu reassures her, saying, "Trust me, you are irreplaceable. We will announce it soon. Now give me that kiss," leading to a fiery on-screen kiss between the two.
The series promises to explore the intricate dynamics between producers and actresses, showcasing the palpable chemistry between Mouni and Emraan's characters.
Mouni recently shared a solo poster on her Instagram, featuring her character Yasmin Ali, with the caption, "Connections get you good roles. Not talent - Yasmin Ali." The poster hints at her character's significance in both the show and Raghu Khanna's life.
Speaking about her role, Mouni expressed, "I truly believe that work begets work. The kind of work you've done will pave the way for future opportunities, allowing you to choose the best possible ones."
She emphasized the multifaceted nature of talent, asserting that one's abilities extend beyond mere appearances or skills. Mouni also highlighted the importance of directors' visions in casting actors in diverse roles, preventing them from being typecast.
The star-studded series, featuring Mahima Makwana, Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran, Vishal Vashishtha, Neeraj Madhav, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah alongside Mouni and Emraan, is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on March 8th.
