The makers of "The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter" have released the first look of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty from the upcoming movie by filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri.
Described as a "deeply emotional film that brings a significant chapter of Indian history to life on a grand scale", it has been divided into two parts.
The first part of the film, titled "The Delhi Files - The Bengal Chapter", will be released in cinemas on August 15, 2025.
Agnihotri shared a teaser clip of the film on his official social media on Sunday.
In the video, Chakraborty is found sporting a rugged look with a white beard as he utters the preamble of the Constitution of India from his burnt tongue while reciting in an empty corridor. The actor seems exhausted and limping while talking, and at the end, his character ends up resting on a wall.
"PRESENTING: A tribute to the Constitution of India. From the makers of #TheDelhiFiles: The Bengal Chapter. Witness an epic untold story this Independence Day, 2025. Releasing worldwide. #RightToLife," the filmmaker wrote in his post.
Earlier, Agnihotri had directed the 2022 film "The Kashmir Files", which had shown the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from the North Indian state following members of the community being killed by terrorists.
His 2019 film, "The Tashkent Files", is based on the mysterious death of then prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri in Uzbekistan in 1966.
"The Delhi Files" is produced by Abhishek Agarwal under his banner Abhishek Agarwal Arts in association with Pallavi Joshi, wife of Agnihotri.
