Even as the music started, Megan found it difficult to sing the lyrics, repeatedly fanning her face and covering her eyes in an attempt to control her tears.
Page Six' reported that the exact reason for her emotional breakdown remained unclear, but it followed rumors about an AI-generated sex tape allegedly featuring her likeness circulating online.
Earlier that day, Megan seemingly addressed the issue on X, condemning the 'fake a**' video.
Expressing her frustration, she said, “It’s really sick how ya’ll go out of the way to hurt me when you see me winning. Ya’ll going too far, Fake a** s***. Just know today was your last day playing with me and I mean it.”
Although Megan has not directly commented on the emotional moment during her performance, she did express gratitude to her Tampa fans for their support after the show.
