The alleged suicide of Malaika Arora's father, Anil Arora, is getting murkier by the second. The father of the actress fell from his building Ayesha Manor in the Bandra area of Mumbai on Wednesday.
Now reportedly, Joyce Polycarp, mother of Malaika and Amrita Arora, has shared the details about the tragic incident involving her ex-husband Anil Arora with the cops in the Mumbai Police. Joyce was in the house when the unfortunate incident took place. According to media reports, that morning, she saw Anil's slippers in the living room and looked for him on the balcony. Not finding him on the balcony, she peered over the balcony railing and looked down. There was a commotion, and the watchman of the building was shouting for help. That is when she knew all was not right.
By the time reports emerged of Anil having called up both his daughters and said, "I'm tired" before he took the alleged extreme step. Anil Arora fell from the 6th floor of his residence in the Ayesha Manor building in the Bandra area of Mumbai at around 9:00 am on Wednesday while Malaika Arora was on her way to Pune to attend an event. According to media reports, the mortal remains are at the Bhabha Hospital for post-mortem. Other details as related to the death are still developing as the Mumbai Police investigates the case.
She was born in Thane, Maharashtra. When Malaika was just eleven years old, her parents divorced, and she shifted to Chembur with her mother and sister Amrita Arora. Her mother, Joyce Polycarp, was a Malayali Christian, and her father, Anil Arora, was a Punjabi, working in the Indian Merchant Navy. Outside her apartment, after the incident took place, her ex-husband Arbaaz Khan was too seen along with reports of her ex-boyfriend Arjun Kapoor.
