Hollywood star Kristen Stewart has finally wedded her boyfriend Dylan Meyer in an intimate ceremony conducted at their Los Angeles residence. The two had their vows in the presence of a small number of close friends and relatives, including actress Ashley Benson and her husband Brandon Davis.
Before the wedding, the couple picked up their marriage license at the courthouse. Stewart and Meyer, who initially went public with their relationship on Instagram in October 2019, became engaged in 2021, People magazine reported.
While appearing on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show that year, Stewart jokingly disclosed that Meyer, 37, daughter of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Meyer, had actually proposed to her.
"It's not necessarily that I would be the one, you know what I mean? Like, having two girls, you never know, like, who's going to play what f***ing gender role thing and we don't do that or think about it that way," Stewart told Stern.
She went on, "So I was like, 'Wait, well, I'm not the one for sure.' And so I was kind of joking for a bit, like, 'No, I want to be the one to propose, like, I want to be proposed to' and then she just grabbed that bowl and made it happen. It was f****** so cute," going on to say that Meyer "knocked it out of the park" with the proposal.
During a previous interview with Stern, Stewart recounted the experience of the first time she said she loved Meyer. "It was late and we were at some s—– bar, and there was her friends or whatever, and they got up to leave, and I was like, 'Oh, man, I'm so f—— in love with you'. Like, done," she said during a November 2019 appearance on the show. "It wasn't like a thing, and it also was so obvious."
The couple's wedding was initially reported by TMZ. Early in 2022, Stewart had weighed in on the wedding in an interview with Stephen Colbert, stating that although she'd love to have a "big party or something," she could also envision just deciding to get married spontaneously.
