The makers of Pankaj Tripathi’s Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga released the first song of the movie and left the audience sobbing. Written by legendary lyricist Gulzar, the song titled 'Dhoop Paani Bahne De is the last recorded song of late singer KK.
The soulful track has become a gem among the audience, as it took them back in the memory lane where KK soothed our ears with his melodious voice. To note, Dhoop Paani Bahne De is the first song of KK after his sudden demise last week in Kolkata.
“That freshness in his voice will remain alive in every generation. The mesmerizing voice that directly touches our hearts, from rocking songs to sad songs, KK was phenomenal. We will surely miss this voice. RIP” commented a fan. “Legend's Legacy will live forever. KK will be missed but his soulful voice will always be with us like our nostalgic memories,” said another person.
Directed by Srijit Mukherji, based on a true event, "Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga" is a dark humor laced satire that captures Pankaj Tripathi, Sayani Gupta, and Neeraj Kabi in lead roles. The movie is slated to see its released on June 24, 2022.
KK took his last breath at the age of 53 on May 31 shortly after performing at Nazrul Manch in Kolkata. As per the post-mortem reports, he died due to a cardiac attack.
