The renowned American pop rock band, Jonas Brothers, graced the stage for their inaugural performance in India at the second edition of the multi-genre music festival, 'Lollapalooza India,' held in Mumbai on Saturday.
A noteworthy highlight of the performance came when Nick's elder brother, Kevin, affectionately referred to him as 'Jiju' (brother-in-law), signifying Mumbai as a home for the trio, considering Nick's marriage to actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The endearing moment unfolded just before the rendition of the song 'Waffle House' from their studio album.
In a departure from the previous setup, the Lollapalooza India main stage featured a ramp extending all the way to the pit, enhancing the overall stage experience for the audience.
Ahead of the set, the organizers set the mood by playing 'Galla Goodiyaan' from the 2015 film 'Dil Dhadakane Do,' featuring Nick's wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
Nick Jonas not only mesmerized the audience with his vocals but also showcased his guitar skills, sharing the lead guitar duties with his brother. The synergy between the performers and the enthusiastic crowd reached unprecedented levels. The wind section, featuring trombone, trumpet, and soprano saxophone, added a vibrant dimension to the musical spectacle.
The band treated the audience to the hit 'Play My Music' from the film 'Camprock.' Expressing their deep connection with India, Nick shared, "As a family, we have a deep connection with this beautiful country. I've been waiting to be in India for a long, long time," and went on to acknowledge the audience, saying, "We consider every single one of you here tonight as family."
