Katy Perry, of the jams "Dark Horse," "Last Friday Night," and "Roar," treated her fans to a behind-the-scenes look recently at some of her rehearsal sessions for a performance.
The singer-songwriter took to Instagram to share a video of herself dancing to her song "Lifetimes" with a team of dancers. She captioned the post, "#LIFETIMES with my boys at rehearsals."
She is scheduled to perform in West Hollywood, California on August 23, before flying out to the next tour date in Brazil.
However, she was recently under attack by the Spanish authorities because of her "Lifetimes" music video. There have been reports that the video was shot at a restricted location in Spain without acquiring the proper authorizations. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Balearic Islands, the video was recorded at Ses Salines Natural Park between the islands of Ibiza and Formentera, again, without obtaining the necessary authorizations. While this is not an environmental infraction, recording in such areas requires an official permit.
The clip features her riding a motorcycle on the beach and dancing in a nightclub. "Lifetimes" is the second single from her upcoming album, "143."
Earlier, Katy Perry bid farewell to her role as judge on "American Idol" after a seven-year-long run. With more than 143 million units sold worldwide, she is considered one of the best-selling artists of all time and is generally known and celebrated for her curable camp style and huge contribution to pop music. She appears in the list of richest musicians, with her net worth estimated at $500 million.
