After tickling our funny bones and ruling the Indian Tv industry with his punches and jokes, now comedy king, Kapil Sharma is all set to take over Netflix, which his first stand-up special titled I’m Not Done Yet’. In this special, he will be seen talking about his past fights and a drunk tweet to PM Modi that cost him 9 Lakhs.
After making the announcement of his special on social media, Kapil took to his Instagram handle to share a glimpse of his special. In the clip, he can be seen talking a tweet that he clarifies was a drunk tweet to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He talks about how the tweet cost him 9 lakh rupees and made him run away to the Maldives.
“I left for the Maldives instantly, I lived there for 8-9 days. The moment I reached the Maldives, I asked them for a room with no internet. They asked, ‘Have you got married?’ I replied, ‘No, I just tweeted.’ My stay cost me Rs 9 lakhs, which I didn’t even spend on my education. That one line cost me that much,” he revealed, added, “I want to sue Twitter.” He said the microblogging site should have warned his followers that it is a “drunk tweet.”
The 2016 tweet to the PM had Kapil complaining about BMC. His tweet read, “I am paying Rs 15 cr income tax from last 5-year n still i have to pay 5 lacs bribe to BMC office for making my office @narendramodi.”
The stand-up comedy special of Kapil Sharma is going to air on Netflix on 28 January 2022.
