Kangana Reveals Film Plans: 'Script Ready' for Bilkis Bano, Faces OTT Platform Refusals

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has expressed her desire to make a film based on the Bilkis Bano case but has faced challenges due to the lack of support from digital platforms such as Netflix and Prime Video.

Responding to a user on the X platform who asked if she would be interested in telling Bilkis Bano's story through a powerful movie, Kangana shared her enthusiasm for the project. She mentioned that she has a script ready, researched and worked on it for three years. However, she revealed that major digital platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, and others declined the project, citing clear guidelines against so-called politically motivated films.

Kangana explained, "JioCinema said we don't work with Kangana because she supports BJP, and Zee is going through a merger. What are my options?"

Despite facing challenges with digital platforms, Kangana Ranaut remains committed to telling stories that she is passionate about. On the work front, she is set to portray the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the upcoming film 'Emergency'.
