Kangana Ranaut, who recently saw the release of her latest outing titled Thalaivii has reacted to the statement given by Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds about “Hollywood finally mimicking Bollywood.” The actor recently released a video appealing to his Indian fans to go to theaters and enjoy his latest movie Free Guy.
Talking about the highlights of his movie, Ryan noted that Free Guy had all the tropes of a typical Bollywood movie. “If you’re wondering whether Hollywood is just mimicking Bollywood…Well, the answer is yes. We have no shame, no shame at all,” Reynolds, known for his terrific sense of humor, said in the video.
Posting the statement delivered by Ryan on her Instagram story, Kangana Ranaut said that not just mimicking Bollywood, but Hollywood is even trying to steal screens from Indian theatres. “And trying to steal our screens…,” the Thalaivii actor wrote.
While promoting her recent release Thalaivii, Kangana said during a press conference. “We need to discourage American and English movies as they are taking over our screens. We need to behave like one nation. We need to stop dividing ourselves like North India or South India. We need to enjoy our own films first, be it Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, or Punjabi.”
After a lot of tussle and challenges, Kangana Ranaut-starrer Thalaivii finally opened in theatres on September 10 nationwide. It’s been more than a week since the release of Thalaivii, but it seems like Kangana hasn't let go of the incident yet.
