Renowned Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan on Friday introduced his groundbreaking character Ashwatthama from the much-awaited science-fiction action entertainer 'Kalki 2898 AD'.
The veteran actor took to social media to give fans a peek into his intense character look, with the character poster revealing oodles of power and mystery.
The revealed poster sees Bachchan in his transformation, donning long white hair and a rugged beard, giving an impression of timeless wisdom and strength.
He is clothed in earthy colours and is attired in a brown cloth draped over his upper body paired with loose pyjamas in matching tones.
His hands, wrapped in bandages, bring out the toughness and travails of a man who has been through battle.
One hand has a huge staff and the other an astra, both in a combative stance. An actor with a white gem striking on his forehead, he stands in front of a mammoth tank, indicative of the magnanimity of the premise, and fallen warriors all around, increasing the gravity of the moment.
Backed by this intriguing visual, Bachchan shared the post in huge anticipation, speaking about how thrilled he is to join the league of legends cinematically. While June 10th is just around the corner, he eagerly waits for the netizens to shower their reactions on this upcoming epic saga.

The epic 'Kalki 2898 AD' is directed by visionary director Nag Ashwin and produced by C. Aswani Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. 'Kalki 2898 AD' will feature Prabhas as Bhairava, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and other actors, promising an experience of this lifetime that will surpass the boundaries of time and space.
