Singer Justin Timberlake, 44, recently commandeered the microphone on a flight to South America for the next stop on his Forget Tomorrow world tour.
The 10-time Grammy Award winner posted a humorous TikTok clip in which he playfully addressed the passengers through the overhead speaker. Wearing a pastel green hoodie with an orange design, he began his announcement with, "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to JT Live 25 South American Leg."
As the flight attendants continued with their standard safety demonstration, Timberlake jokingly took over the script, reading from a piece of paper: "The lifejacket is stowed in a pouch at your seatside. To inflate the lifejacket, pull strongly on the red toggles."
He capped the announcement off with a humorous comment: "If you do have questions, keep 'em to yourself. Oh, kidding. Please ask the crew." He followed it up by elaborating on the flight path, stating that the aircraft would pass over the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia, and then go on into Argentina. "We appreciate you flying JT Live 25 Air. It's gonna be lit," he concluded, much to the glee of the passengers.
The video ended with the camera panning over the cabin, capturing the passengers clapping and cheering for the impromptu celebrity announcement. Timberlake captioned the post, "South America, we’re coming for you."
In a follow-up video, Timberlake shook things up by leaving his flight attendant costume behind and claiming the plane aisle as his own golf course. Barefoot, the pop star played a make-shift game of golf, taking aim with one of two golf balls, and then launching it down the aisle into a cup held by another passenger. Timberlake did a celebratory run down the aisle, high-fiving other passengers as he went.
Timberlake is also scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza Argentina on March 21, in addition to dates at Lollapalooza Chile, Festival Estereo Picnic, and Lollapalooza Brazil, according to his official website. The Forget Tomorrow tour started on April 29, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada, and will progress with several appearances throughout North America before returning globally for additional concerts.
Sadly, Timberlake also had to postpone his last North American show in February because of health reasons. He addressed the public via Instagram Stories, saying, "You guys, I'm heartbroken. I have to cancel the show tonight." He stated that he had gone to the soundcheck for the Columbus, Ohio show "fighting the flu, and now it's gotten the best of me."
