International music icon Justin Bieber is in Mumbai, where he has just arrived from Los Angeles to perform at the sangeet ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
This is going to be the second time Bieber will be visiting India. The last time was during his concert in Mumbai earlier this year. He arrived at the Kalina airport in Mumbai with local police and his entourage. Dressed casually in pink tee, sweatpants, and a bright red bucket hat, the Grammy winner was spotted.
Reports point out that the event will pay Bieber, 30, a total of USD 10 million to perform; it will also have the stage of recognized international artists Adele, Drake, and Lana Del Rey.
Anant Ambani, son of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, and his fiancée Radhika Merchant, the daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, are set to marry on July 12 after whirlwind pre-wedding festivities. The celebrations started on March 1 in Jamnagar, an industrial town home to Reliance Industries' largest refinery in the world—and a town that hosted a performance by Rihanna.
In more recent events, Katy Perry, the Backstreet Boys, and Andrea Bocelli performed at the couple's cruise tour party in Italy and the South of France. The duo had even planned to return to India for a show in 2022, which had to be canceled as Bieber fell sick.
