The singer, actress and author, Jessica Simpson has signed a multi-media rights deal with the tech giant, Amazon. The pact includes a couple of TV projects at Amazon Studios as well as a publication of two essays via Amazon Original Stories.
The TV shows, one scripted and one unscripted, are actually set to be based on Simpson's best-selling memoir, Open Book.
One of the projects, an unscripted docuseries, will feature some previously unseen, personal footage of Simpson and the highs and lows of her singing career, her clothing line and her journey to sobriety over the past decade.
The scripted project will be inspired by Open Book and Jessica's life after her divorce from Nick Lachey, following her self-discovery journey.
