After several stormy weeks, Jennifer Lopez has finally returned to social media amidst the continuous news flow of her filing for divorce from Ben Affleck.
According to People magazine, the 55-year-old star resurfaced on Instagram, sharing a selfie from the fanpage directly on her Instagram Stories with a festive touch.
In the photo, JLo poses seductively, donning her major blonde hair and an oversized cozy blush two-piece outfit. But what truly comes to the attention in the given photo is the huge Christmas tree decorated with gift boxes and florals under it next to a clothing wardrobe rack.
According to People, the selfie appears to be from a December 2020 glam session. In an almost identical shot, taken at a different angle, celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton described the look as "Deluxe Glam Barbie."
This is JLo's first social media post since Tuesday, August 20, when she filed for divorce from Affleck, ending their two-year marriage.
In court papers, the singer reportedly cited irreconcilable differences and listed April 26 as the date of their separation. But she filed papers in the case without a lawyer of her own. The This Is Me. Now singer and Affleck, who were married in Las Vegas on July 17, 2022, later had a celebration surrounded by loved ones in Georgia, according to E. News, and supposedly didn't have a prenup in place.
A source recently told People the couple had the best intentions getting back together: "They really loved each other—and it happened quickly." Affleck and Lopez were previously engaged in the early 2000s, calling it off just days before they were set to wed. "They were really going to give it a try, and they did," added the source about the now-exes' reunion. "Two people in love with love, and who wouldn't jump into that? And the world wanted it."
