With the new season of the popular reality show Bigg Boss set to stun the viewers, JioHotstar has revealed the look of this year's house.
The legendary home, featuring Salman Khan as the host of the show, has been designed by renowned designer Omung Kumar in collaboration with production designer Vanita Garud.
Season 19's house takes inspiration from the spirit of wilderness camping and captures the unpolished charm of a cabin hidden in the forest. The interiors are based on traditional wooden textures, with vibrant, outgoing colors that reflect the multifarious and varied nature of contestants' opinions.
Distinct features like an antlered bird on the living room couch and a lion statuette in the backyard represent protection and authority, furthering the dominant theme. The outdoor-themed wigwam chairs introduce a grouping atmosphere, evoking that of a circle gathering.
The season also brings a new addition in the form of the Assembly Room. As the centerpiece and "DNA" of Bigg Boss house, it transcends the theme of this season, Gharwalon ki Sarkaar, and becomes the nerve center for debates, discussions, and key decisions. Access to it is restricted and controlled.
Reflecting on his creative approach for the BB19 house, Omung stated, "Every year, the Bigg Boss house gives me the chance to create something completely new. For Season 19, it was a cabin in the woods, warm and inviting on the surface, but full of surprises hidden in every corner. We’ve added playful touches, from unusual creatures to watchful eyes, to keep the contestants constantly on edge."
He also added, "The Assembly Room is my personal highlight this season, designed as a symbolic seat of power that is perfectly in line with the theme of 'Gharwalon ki Sarkaar' and will make housemates say what they think, question, and stand up for. In many ways, this house is set to be both a refuge and a battlefield, reflecting the unpredictable nature of Bigg Boss."
Bigg Boss 19 will be launching on August 24, streaming at 9 PM on JioHotstar and telecasting at 10:30 PM on COLORS.
