On Thursday, makers of murder mystery series "Honeymoon Photographer", starring Asha Negi, released its trailer.
The trailer showcases how honeymooning goes hilariously and terribly wrong with a dead groom found on the beach. In the six-episode series, Asha will play the character of Ambika Nath, the honeymoon photographer for newly-wed industrialist clients Adhir Irani, played by Sahil Salathia, and Zoya Irani, played by Apeksha Porwal.
The trip soon turns into a nightmare as Adhir is found dead at the beach. Ambika has no memory of the previous night, and with her date Rihen missing, she finds herself as the prime suspect in this murder. Ambika's only ally is Elvin, her friend zoned date, bent on proving her innocence. Cop Divya Sawant, working out her agenda, leads the investigation.
I have essayed lots of different roles during my career, but most of them were romantic and family-centric. Honeymoon Photographer, to me, was a breath of fresh air because the premise of the show is very different from what you would assume it to be from its title. Ambika is a very layered character, and as you proceed, you really see her evolving.".
"This character really kept me on my feet. The show, for one, has its own thrills-this cat-and-mouse chase so intense, and every character trying to emerge victorious for their own reasons-and it's an enthralling ride. I really wish that the audience enjoys watching it as much as I loved being part of a story like this."
The show has been directed by Arjun Srivastava and features Rajeev Siddhartha and Apeksha Porwal. It will be on JioCinema Premium on September 27.
